Heritage Park

This last weekend we went to Heritage Park "This is the Place". I loved seeing all the old houses and the pioneer atmosphere. The kids favorite part was panning for gold. (Kids can pan for "gold" and then take it to the "bank" for good ole candy). I wish I would have panned for gold because they were handing out taffy. Tyson of course loved the animals and riding the horse. Everywhere we go he has to point out the "horsey".

First Day of School

O.k. so...So I'm not good at this blogging thing and I am even worse at taking pictures. But, I am determined to start. On the first day of school I gear up with my camera. Brady noticed the camera and commented on how he is too old to have his picture taken on the first day of school. He then tells me I am welcome to come back on Saturday and stage the first day of school. He would gladly pose for me then.
I took pictures anyway. Not my best decision. I should have taken him up on the offer to come back Saturday.

Spring Break Came and Went

This last week was Spring Break. With Ben and Tyson down with the stomach flu, there wasn't much planning to do. But here are a few of this weeks highlights.

10. Get the carpet cleaned. Ben couldn't seem to find his way to the bathroom and shared his lunch in five different spots upstairs including the top of the stairs. Not Fun.
9. Going swimming at the rec center.
8. Rain
7. Brady started baseball practice.
6. Rain
5. Ben started baseball practice.
4. Jeannette, Doug, Aiden and Jeny moved to Vegas (now only 2 hours away)
3. Rain
2. Grandpa Harry's surgery is over with no complications
1. Spend the morning at Jumpin Jacks

Then more rain and hail.

I have to admit it. I do love rain. I love the clouds. I love the moisture. I love the smell. And, I love the sound. However, after all the rain we have had I am excited for some much needed sunshine.

We hope you all had a Merry Christmas. I never ended up sending Christmas cards. I figured, since Tyson is a toddler, I'm still exempt. We had a peaceful wonderful Christmas.

Hugs and Kisses

Once upon a time, I declared "my boys will never play with guns". Then, my not yet, two year old Brady ate his toast in the shape of an "L" and said "pow pow pow". Can anyone say "foot in mouth". My boys are now obsessed with guns, swords, sabers, you name it. And so, I wasn't surprised when Tyson my one year old mastered guns and shooting. Thanks Brady and Ben.... But my heart just melted when this photo was taken. Benjamin was sad and crying, and Tyson out of the blue walked over to him and hugged him and gave him some loves. It was so sweet. Especially, since Tyson has been too busy discovering the world around him. He doesn't let us hug and cuddle him as often as I would like. My kids are the best cuddlers.
