Pioneer Day Bicycle Parade

Our ward had a Bicycle Parade for an activity. Brady, Ben and Eden unfortunately thought it was a race and rode their bikes as fast as they could and the paraded ended too early for their liking. Ben's bike won for best decorated and Tyson was voted most Patriotic (although he almost wasn't). The kids decorated their bikes the night before and I must admit it was the best bike decorating the Carlson's have done to date. The next day I noticed we had forgot to decorate Tyson's bike so I quickly got to it. When Tyson notice he pitched a fit. He started crying for me to take the streamers and paper off. After noticing that the boys bikes were also decked out he spotted protesting. REWARD/PRIZE? A toy gun. It was all worth it. You might be asking where is Eden? OFF playing with her new buds. No surprise there. Next time I will try and take pictures at the beginning.

Cute Tyson story

I LOVE all my kids but lately Tyson has been coming up the the funniest things. Last night we put him to be in his big boy bed (bottom bunk). He woke up in the middle of the night and tried to get in bed with us. Nathan took him back to bed and layed down with him for a few minutes when Tyson said in his cute tired pouty voice "Dad will you please sleep with me?". Nathan replied "No I have to sleep in my bed". Tyson pleaded again please and Nathan said "I'll lay down with you but I need to sleep in my bed". Tyson's final response...."Fine...go.. just go..." and rolled over. His little personality is so adorable. I wish I had kept better notes of my other kids and their little cute stories.

Weekend fun with friends

The Ledbetters came up to vacation and visit. What a treat it was to see them. Friday we went to the Hogle zoo. It was perfect weather and all the kids really enjoyed the Dinosours. Well...almost all the kids. The Dinosaurs were huge and mechanical and the roared. Tyson did not appreciate the display at all. Poor Tyson was worried when ever he could spot the dinosaurs ahead.
Just like old times the kids all got along so well. Later, we headed to the Gateway Mall. The kids did some "water bending". They were espcecially cute when you heard them all giggling. It was so nice to see some good friends. I was sad to see them go. I had to work Friday night so we skipped out on going to Lagoon with them. They left Sunday morning but hopefully we will get to see them soon. And maybe next time we will have some blinds in the house;)

Headed down to St George

After the family reunion, we headed to St George (Washington) to pick up our very much needed washer and dryer. We were just going to make it a quick stop and go trip but MaryJane and her adorable family kindly invited us to stay over. We had so much fun seeing some dear friends and my heart ached a little thinking of all the friends I didn't get to see. I will have to plan better next time.

Neibaur Family Reunion

For the Forth of July we spent it at the Neibaur Family Reunion. We had a wondeful time. I was so excited to see family, I could hardly wait. The trip was a bit tricky because we had just moved into our new house. I had spent most of the time packing, moving and unpacking. In addition it was the kids last week of school. I think I must be a little crazy because I also planned a "party" night for Brady and his buds. Even with all the chaos it was perfect timing because it gave us the opportunity to see some dear family. Abby and Travis came to the west coast from New York. We got to see Janette and Doug before their HUGE move to Grand Rapids. Thanks again aunt Julie for organizing a splendid event.
The fireworks show at Brian Head are AMAZING. Tyson of course didn't appreciate the loud and long show. By the second boom he raced inside Russell and Julie's condo and begged for me to have them stop. We ended up hanging out indoors with Natalie until it was all done.

I really need to learn how to edit and creat orderly post. For now here are some random pictures.
